| Boiling Point is located in a remote region between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo known as Itatchaia National Park. It climbs a 150feet high sheet of smooth and virtually unprotected granite, with its crux moves right at the top. It occurred to me as I tied in that we were no longer playing the same game that we play back home. Gone is the helicopter rescue service only a mobile phone call away; and the thought of what might happen if things went wrong definitely added an edge to the ascent. |
